What’s with the heavy equipment on the golf course?A project is currently underway which should wrap up at the end of this week (weather permitting) and will see the following work completed:To address an ongoing issue of our effluent holding pond (Pond F on Hole #2) filling with Spring run-off, a fresh water pond is being created for that purpose. Excavated material will be used to increase the Pond F berm height by 0.5m to minimize run-off spilling over into the effluent pond.Additionally, the fairway on Hole #3 is being re-contoured which will not only improve the playability and aesthetics of the hole, but should also result in fewer errant balls. The water hazard will remain in place. For the safety of all, while the work is ongoing we request that golfers restrict play to holes #5 through #9. Pedestrians and golf carts are asked to refrain from using the cart path between Phases 4 and 5 during work hours. Construction vehicles have been asked to slow down as well. ... See MoreSee Less

Hello Pond People and winter enthusiasts! Well, it is almost that time of year and we are looking forward to a great season skating and curling on the Hole #4 and Hole #5 ponds. With the help and support of GLRL, we are going to make things even better this season! While we were doing almost everything right the past couple years, we will be making a few improvements to our safety protocols for this and upcoming seasons. One of the things we need to do is create a list of volunteers who can be notified by text/e-mail in the unlikely event that there is an emergency or accident on the pond. Should something happen that requires help, we can send a text/e-mail blast to the volunteers on the list and those that are here, could respond. So, if you would like to help us out and put your name on the list, we really would appreciate it. If you are unavailable, that is OK, but if we have a few names on the list probably someone will be available, should they be needed. If you have a current First Aid Certificate, that would be even better (awesome in fact!).If you would volunteer to be on the emergency contact list, please message Bing Fountain or with your e-mail and text / phone number and let us know if you have a First Aid Certificate, and we will add you to the list.Thank you for your support, volunteerism and community spirit and we look forward to seeing you on the ponds soon! ...
