Further to advice from Dr Deena Hinshaw late Monday, September 20, 2021, The Resort will NOT require proof of vaccination for youth ages 12 – 17 for access to the Fitness Room, Games Room and Indoor Pool / Hot Tub. Please be reminded that all other published rules concerning use of these facilities still apply (including adult supervision where posted).
For those residents 18 years of age and up, in order to have fobs re-activated, you will need to report to the Front Office (current hours are 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM seven days a week) to establish the following:
– Proof of COVID-19 vaccination plus photo ID. Please note, a single dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine is acceptable through October 25, 2021. After that date fobs to the above noted amenities for those who have only had a single dose will be de-activated until proof of both vaccinations is provided.
Or,
– Presentation of a privately-paid negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of access requested. Please note that this will enable temporary re-activation of your fob for a maximum of 72 hours following which proof of another privately-paid negative COVID-19 test would be required for the next temporary access.
Or,
– Documentation of a medical exemption .
We will keep you apprised of changes as soon as possible. Updates are being sent via email to all lot owners, posted to our official Facebook page and are also displayed on the Resort website under the ‘News’ menu item (Facebook Posts on the right-hand side).
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work to comply with the Provincial regulations while enabling residents to access as many facilities as possible, as safely as possible.
Impact of AHS COVID-19 Business Exemption on Amenities at the Resort
In order to keep amenities open to residents to the extent possible and to be compliant with the enhanced AHS COVID-19 restrictions which came into effect September 16/20 please note the following:
Effective IMMEDIATELY, all resident fob access to the Fitness Room, Games Room, and Indoor Pool/Hot tub have been deactivated.
GLR will operate under the AHS COIVD-19 Business Exemption Policy. Therefore, in order to re-activate your fobs for the above noted facilities you are asked to report to the Front Office (current hours are 9 AM – 4 PM seven days / week) with proof of vaccination as follows:
All residents 12 years of age and older who wish to access these facilities will need to provide official proof of at least 1 COVID-19 vaccination. Those who have only had one dose will need to provide proof of both vaccines before October 26, 2021 to ensure uninterrupted access.
Those 18 years of age and older will also need to provide photo ID.
Children under 12 years of age are exempt from these requirements, but must adhere to the posted regulations in these facilities which require adult supervision.
Once you have met these requirements, your fob access to the Fitness Room, Games Room, and Indoor Pool / Hot Tub will be immediately restored.
Please note: where reinstated, fob access to these facilities is restricted to those individuals (who have provided proof of vaccination and Photo ID (where required). Spot checks will be conducted by Resort Staff and AHS. Any violators will be denied access to the facilities, reported to AHS and fines imposed by AHS.
